Scouts

The Houston Museum of Natural Science offers Summer Scout Classes at the Houston Museum of Natural Science Sugar Land! In-person Summer Scout Classes are for Scouts BSA, Cub Scouts, Webelos, Arrow of Light, and Girl Scouts. Week-long Five day classes and One and Two-day classes are scheduled for the summer. Week-long classes include numerous badges and one and two-day scout classes focus on one badge.

For summer 2026, Summer Scout classes at Sugar Land will be held the weeks of:

• June 8-12 and 20 (Five, Two and One-Day classes)


• July 6-10 (Five, Two, and One-Day classes)


• August 3-7 (Five and One-Day classes)

Class hours are 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Extended care is not available at the Sugar Land museum.

Our In-Person Summer Scouts classes will be held at HMNS Sugar Land and at our main location in Hermann Park.

Registration begins March 2, 2026 for the general public and even sooner for members! Become a member for priority registration access as early as Tuesday, November 25.

Priority Registration for museum members: 

• H.P. Attwater Society level members | Nov. 24, 2025

• Family Flex and above | Nov. 25, 2025

• All other family-level members | Dec. 2, 2025

• General public | Mar. 2, 2026
