Pi is an irrational number, but there’s nothing crazy about celebrating Math (and Einstein’s birthday). Welcome to Pi Day during Spring Break – it’s a genius idea! Explore and learn how Pi is all around us. Indulge your inner math geek with hands-on activities and fun experiments that make numbers and science come to life on this special date – 3.14. And of course, no Pi Day celebration would be complete without a taste of pi(e)!

When Cher ruled the charts, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air had everyone quoting lines, and MTV was the ultimate pop-culture destination, the ’90s gave us unforgettable music, bold fashion, and iconic moments. Now it’s your turn to relive it all.

Join us at the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land for a nostalgic night packed with throwback vibes, dancing, and interactive fun. Dance the night away as DJ Griffin spins the best hits of the decade, grab cocktails from our cash bars throughout the museum, and enjoy bites from local food vendors.

Need a break from the dance floor? Stop by our friendship bracelet station to get your craft on or capture your most legendary ’90s look at our 360° photo booth.

Whether you lived through the decade or just love the aesthetic, this event is your chance to step into a time of neon colors, unforgettable beats, and pure fun. Throw on your best ’90s outfit, bring your friends, and get ready for a night of nostalgia you won’t forget.

It’s Sugar Land: Behind the Scenes Week only at HMNS Sugar Land during Spring Break! Become a leak detective, learn about stormwater, explore how Brazos River water is treated, discover how the airport operates, and pick up water-saving tips for your home. 

Giveaways will be provided at each activity or presentation, and more topics will be featured throughout the week. There will also be fun Sci-Teen led activities across the museum during this time.

Included with general admission.

Three times a year, HMNS at Sugar Land offers Sensory Friendly Events where exhibits and venues are modified to create a sensory neutral environment for those with autism and sensory sensitivities. Sensory Backpacks, which include ear defenders, sunglasses, and fidgets, are available to check out with an ID at the Box Office, and Touch Carts with tactile specimens to explore will be available throughout the museum’s permanent exhibit halls. Pre-registration is required for these events, which take place during the hour before the Museum opens to the public. Tickets may be purchased at a discounted rate. Free permanent exhibit hall admission for Sensory Friendly Events at HMNS at Sugar Land is made possible by proceeds from our annual fundraiser, Jingle Tree.
